I haven't had failures burning since I lowered my burn rate to 16X for audio CD's.

The faster the burn rate, the higher the failure rate.

Find the best burn rate for your burner, and leave it set for that rate.....most problems solved.
There will always be bad disks, and you can't do anything about those.

Nail hit firmly on the head Edsel.
Nicely put. I would just add that higher quality CDs
do help a little. Give me a Sony or a TDK over a
Verbatum or Memorex any day...

now, Im trying to understand the difference between a
'question on burning' and a 'burning question'. Any
suggestions there?

I find that if I just shove the jalapeno directly up my
ass, it cuts out the middle man. Now with pineapples?
Thats another story...

LOL :)

i am in full agreement with cutting out the middle man - certainly a culprit in discomfort. but the taste buds, as the first in line, so want that burrrnnnnn.....

wiping DOES become a sacrificial act - kinda like self-flaggelation
